The Code of Conduct is an instrument of self-regulation, to ensure the legality of operations, but regulatory compliance must go beyond mere formal observance of the measures, guiding towards understanding the spirit of the law and substantially applying it.
SEA’s Code of Conduct – was first adopted in April 2000 and the latest version was approved by the Board of Directors in December 2015 and updated in December 2018 and August 2019. It identifies the series of values, principles and rules of conduct to which the Company and the Group adhere.
In addition, the document informs the personnel, members of the company bodies and the stakeholders of the lines of conduct to be followed in handling relations with the company in order to provide unambiguous guidance on conduct and obtain economic benefits from the consolidation of the company’s positive reputation.
The Company has also appointed an Ethics Committee with responsibility for the dissemination and observance of the Code.
